The Turkish press is discussing a new scandal with Burak Özçivit and Nurgül Yeşilçay that occurred during the film festival in Tashkent. What really happened?
Not a very pleasant situation happened during the 14th Tashkent Film Festival. It is alleged that Burak Özçivit and Nurgül Yeşilçay were reluctant to enter the stage during a round table with Turkish actors (12 in total), considering it below their status to sit on stage with others. After they left, the two stars came out and took their places. However, Serdar Gökhan did not tolerate such an attitude. He went on stage again and declared that he would not stay in the same hall with people who show such disrespect to colleagues. After that, not only the actors left the hall, but also representatives of the Turkish embassy, as well as the entire Turkish delegation.
Serdar Gökhan confirmed the information in an interview with Page 2, stating that he had heard Burak complaining behind the scenes that he would not appear on stage. According to Mr. Gökhan, Burak claimed that he was envied. It’s nonsense. This guy only learned to frown his eyebrows, so he should learn acting first, – said the actor.
Later the video has appeared with the evidence that the event was organized very badly, they forgot to invite one of the participants to the stage. Nurgül and Burak were the guest stars and were not part of the Turkish delegation, besides, Burak Özçivit was detained at the entrance by fans, and he gave them time, appearing much later, when the Turkish actors had already left the hall. It is not at all clear how Serdar Gökhan could hear Burak’s “claims”.
