The digital platform Netflix is in negotiations with the management of Warner Brothers Discovery to license some series from the HBO catalog.

If the deal is finalized, it will be the first time in over 10 years that an HBO series will be available to viewers on a competing platform. While some managers at HBO are against the deal, the idea of licensing is being favorably discussed at the company’s senior management level, which continues to work on attracting financial resources. Additionally, the licensing agreement will be “non-exclusive,” meaning that the content can still be broadcast on MAX.
