The new film of Jessica May
Great news for Jessica May’s fans! The Brazilian-Turkish actress is returning to the screen in a new historical film that promises to be a significant international event.
Brazilian-Turkish actress Jessica May is returning to the film set in a new historical film being prepared by Uzbek producers with the support of the Ministry of Culture of Uzbekistan. Although Jessica was born in Brazil, she made her career in Turkey. Her most successful series, “Yeni Gelin” (The New Bride), was well-received on the Turkish TV channel Show TV.
In the new film “Ulug Amir and Donna Maria,” directed by Yalkin Tuichiev, Jessica will portray a 15th-century Ottoman concubine. Before starting the filming, she immersed herself in reading books on history to fully grasp the spirit of her character, Princess Maria. In addition to studying history, she is also taking horse riding lessons, as her character will be involved in horseback riding scenes. “I already had some experience in horse riding, but I need to improve my skills because the horse has its own choreography, and I need to confidently stay in the saddle,” she noted.
The film will be shot in Samarkand, Istanbul, and Ankara. At the heart of the story is the fate of Princess Donna Maria, which mysteriously intertwines with the life of a modern girl named Maria. The filming of the movie is ongoing, and the audience can expect to see it on the screens in 2024.
