In recent months, the Disney+ platform has caused considerable outrage in Turkey by deciding not to show the series “Atatürk,” which is dedicated to the life of the first president of the Turkish Republic, Mustafa Kemal Atatürk.
However, it has been announced that the project will eventually be shown to Turkish viewers. O3 Medya company has announced the release schedule for their highly anticipated project:
- The project will premiere on the October 29th, on FOX TV.
- The first part of the movie will be released on November 3rd in Turkish cinemas.
- The second part of the movie will be released on January 5th in Turkish cinemas.
According to the renowned journalist Fatih Altaylı, the film “Atatürk” will be available on the Netflix and Amazon Prime Video, which have acquired the rights to its broadcast. It’s worth noting that according to Turkish laws, a film can be released on digital platforms six months after its theatrical release. Therefore, the premiere on digital platforms Netflix and Amazon Prime will take place between September and November 2024.
According to the journalist, the film will be presented not only in Turkey but also throughout Europe, including Central Europe, and in many countries in East Asia. Negotiations are currently ongoing for the screening of the movie in the United States and Russia.
