Turkish media outlets have provided new details regarding the situation involving comedian Cem Yılmaz and his former girlfriend Serenay Sarıkaya. Earlier, Cem posted a photo on social media that many interpreted as a jab at his ex-girlfriend following her bold appearance in a dress with a deep neckline.

However, Cem Yılmaz issued an official statement explaining the reason behind his post. According to the comedian, he recently underwent a medical examination, during which doctors diagnosed him with a 50% loss of vision in his right eye. It turns out he has issues with his retina.

His treating physician prescribed surgery for Cem, the recovery from which may take from 6 months to 1 year. This is precisely why, as the comedian asserts, he posted the controversial post, with no intention of mocking or offending his former girlfriend Serenay Sarıkaya.
