According to Birsen Altuntaş, Fırat Tanış has been cast in the role of Mehmet Şakir Pasha in the series “Great Lunatics”.
Active preparations continue for the filming of a new show by MedYapım for the NOW TV channel “Great Lunatics”. The series will narrate the true story of the Şakir Pasha family, which included prominent figures such as Fahrünnisa Zeid, Füreya Koral, Aliye Berger, and Nejad Devrim. The script is based on the story of the children and relatives of Şakir Pasha, who held significant positions under Abdul Hamid II.
The book about the family was written by Şirin Devrim. The director of the series will be Bahadır Karataş, and the screenplay is written by Hande Altaylı. Fırat Tanış will portray the Ottoman historian and statesman Kabaağaçlızade Mehmet Şakir Pasha. Cem Yiğit Üzümoğlu will play the role of Cevat Şakir Kabaağaçlı, known as the Fisherman of Halicarnassus. Devrim Yakut will also participate in the project.
