Hazal Kaya becomes UNFPA Goodwill Ambassador
Hazal Kaya is one of the most popular and respected Turkish actresses in the world, well known for her active citizenship. It is no coincidence that the United Nations Population Fund chose her as its official representative in Turkey.
Hazal Kaya, well known for her civic stance on many issues of concern to modern Turkish society, has become the new Goodwill Ambassador of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) in Turkey. This was announced officially on all social networks. Hassan Mohtasami, UNFPA Representative in Turkey, said it is a great honor for them to welcome such a successful young woman to their ranks.
Hazal Kaya admitted at a press conference held by the Foundation on YouTube that she was very happy to feel the support of such a powerful organization. For many years she tried to do something alone and during this time she perfectly understood how vulnerable groups feel in society. It is very important for her to find supporters along the way. The actress also noted that due to the pandemic, the number of cases of gender-based violence in society has increased significantly, and she promised not to stop fighting for the rights of girls, women and other vulnerable social groups so that they live in a healthier, safer and more equitable world.
Hazal, who recently suffered from the coronavirus, has returned to work starring in the Netflix series Midnight at the Pera Palace, and will also work with the UN Foundation to try to improve the life of Turkish society in every way she can.
