3 Kuruş / Üç Kuruş

After the completion of the series Çukur and the announcement of the new series of Ay Yapim 3 Kuruş / Üç Kuruş, Turkish viewers are interested in two things: who will play the leading roles in the project and what the plot is. What do we know so far?

The series of the company Ay Yapim 3 Kuruş / Üç Kuruş, in which one of the leading roles will be played by Uraz Kaygılaroğlu, tells about the endless war between the police and the mafia. Recall that Kerem Çatay’s company announced the start of work on a new project in the final episode of the Çukur / The Pit series. The graffiti on the wall said: “We left the Insider / Içerde, we got to The Pit / Çukur, 3 kurus / Üç Kuruş is the next stop”.

The project will be directed by Sinan Oztürk, who worked on the Çukur series. The scriptwriters are Damla Serim (one of the screenwriters of  Çukur) and Murat Uyurkulak. The casting of the series continues, while only one name is known: Uraz Kaygılaroğlu. Initially, he was offered the role of the Chief of Police, however, he chose to play the character of the casino manager.

Taner Olmez, who was invited to join the project, rejected the proposal on the pretext that he would like to rest a bit. Rumours that Damla Sonmez would participate in the series are untrue – no such offer has yet been made to the actress.

The series will begin with a murder scene perpetrated by serial killer Irfan. He leaves 3 coins at the crime scene (hence the name of the project). The police raid the establishment of Kartal (Uraz Kaygılaroğlu), who operates the casino. The story of the district in which Kartal and his family live, as well as the mysterious connection between Kartal and Irfan, are central to this story.

In the near future, we will find out who will play the mysterious Irfan and the opposing police chief.
