This is evidenced by the company’s statements for the last quarter published on Tuesday. According to forecasts in the coming quarter, this number will increase to 222 million. Revenue for this period amounted to 7.48 billion dollars.

The popularity of non-English TV series is also noted. The record holders among them were “Money Heist” and “Squid Game”. The latter has become the most successful project of the company in the entire history, it has already been viewed by 142 million accounts. It was thanks to this series that Netflix surpassed projected audience growth rates. The production cost of the show is $21.4 million. Netflix’s profit from the show was $891 million. The series topped the top10 in 94 countries.

Netflix also announced that they are changing the measurement system. Previously, the first 2 minutes of a TV series or movie were taken into account, from now on, the total viewing time will be calculated. Moreover, this indicator will now be publicly available and will be reported on a regular basis. As an example, the Bridgerton series was cited, which was watched by 82 million accounts, which amounted to 625 million hours of viewing.
