Nesrin Cavadzade became the reason for the tightening of contracts signed by Turkish actors. Why did the scandal that happened on the set of Forbidden Fruit series affect the entire industry?

According to the well-known journalist Birsen Altuntas Nesrin Cavadzade became another actress who fled the set without informing the producer. After receiving the doctor’s certificate about her illness and refusing to continue working, the actress stopped answering calls from the film crew of the series Forbidden Fruit / Yasak Elma and the producer Fatih Aksoy, putting everyone in a very difficult situation. In the end, her character’s story was crumpled up and quickly completed.

Following this egregious incident, the production company added a new clause to the actors’ contract. From now on, the passing away of a close relative is considered a good reason for completing the work, which must be confirmed by the judicial authorities. A doctor’s certificate can only be obtained from a public hospital in accordance with an official protocol, which must be drawn up by either the director, assistant director or producer.

In case of completing work in the series without a valid reason, the actor must pay a fine in the amount of his salary for 10 episodes, as well as a fine of 750 thousand Turkish lira for breach of obligations and all expenses incurred by the film crew.

The journalist also reports that the Forbidden Fruit series, which attracted a lot of viewers’ attention in the fifth season, is already preparing to be continued in the sixth season, if there is no sharp drawdown in the ratings. Curiously, Nesrin is now working on the series The Bad Penny / Üç Kuruş, which is a competitor to the series from which she fled.
