Midnight at the Pera Palace

This week, the position of Turkish digital projects in the international movie database IMDB was determined by the release of the new Turkish Netflix series  “Midnight at the Pera Palace”, which climbed to 67th position in the world’s top most wanted TV shows. The rise is quite predictable, because this week the project of producer Emre Sahin was in the top 10 most popular Netflix series in the world. Due to the interest of foreign viewers in the Turkish novelty, interest in the Turkish TV shows that were released earlier has also increased. Recall that the Netflix algorithm offers subscribers to watch similar series after they finish watching the new ones.

The Protector is still in second position among digital series, confirming its status as the most successful Turkish Netflix show since the platform’s inception in Turkey.

Another project by producer Emre Sahin, Rise of Empires: Ottoman, is holding up very well. Its second season is being prepared right now. It seems that the producer knows very well what subscribers of the digital platform  want.

The film “Love Tactics” dropped to 1697th position, but the adventures of the main characters are not over, it is reported that Netflix has already given the green light to the second part of the Turkish romantic comedy so beloved by the audience.
