Mert Ramazan Demir instead of Çağatay Ulusoy
The series “Kingfisher / Yalı Çapkını”, which was shelved last year, will still be released on Turkish television. However, Çağatay Ulusoy will no longer be in it. What do we know about the project right now?
OGM Pictures has changed the name of the series “From Antep / Antepli” starring Çetin Tekindor, Afra Saraçoğlu and Mert Ramazan Demir. The new name is “Kingfisher / Yalı Çapkını”. As it turned out, the series is the same project, the script of which was offered to Çağatay Ulusoy. However, the actor did not like the script, work on it was stopped, and instead Çağatay was offered the script for the series “Fancy Scarecrow”, which then when transferred to Netflix was renamed “The Tailor”.
However, the producer Onur Guvenatam did not abandon the idea of developing the series “Kingfisher / Yalı Çapkını” for television. It will nevertheless be released in the new season on Star TV and will tell about a rich and spoiled young man who will have to marry a girl from a provincial town at the will of his family.
It is curious that Afra Saraçoğlu was the co-star of Çağatay Ulusoy in the TV series “Yeşilçam”. Now she will play with Mert Ramazan Demir, who replaced Çağatay in this project. If it’s going to be successful, we’ll find out in the fall. Filming of the show will begin in August, after Mert Ramazan finishes shooting the series “Şahmeran”.
