Yeşilçam

Good news for fans of Çağatay Ulusoy! They will see the first season of the new Blu TV series Yeşilçam much sooner than expected. And its release will usher in a new era in the history of the Turkish digital platform.

Aydın Doğan Yalçındağ, founder and chief director of the digital platform Blu TV, in his last interview, shared his plans, talking about the new projects of the platform and the continuation of the old series that viewers already love.

Viewers are expecting some very interesting surprises, the main one being the merger of the Blu TV platform and the American digital platform Discovery+, which will take place in April. Recall that the American company acquired 35% of the shares of Blu TV, effectively becoming the main shareholder of the Turkish platform. As a result of the “arranged marriage” Discovery+ will enter the Turkish market operating under the Blu TV label, while Blu TV will gain access to the world market through Discovery+.

Having received serious financial contributions from American investors, the platform intends to spend them on creating its own original content. It is planned to release one big project each month. The TV show  Yeşilçam starring Çağatay Ulusoy will open a new era in the history of the digital platform. The project will be released in April alongside the launch of Discovery+ for Blu TV subscribers. Viewers will see the first teaser of the series on Friday, February 12th.

Thus, the Turkish platform expects to give a decent answer to its main competitors – Netflix, Amazon, Disney + and attract numerous new subscribers. For fans of Çağatay Ulusoy, this is a doubly pleasant surprise – on March 15 they will see the new film of the Turkish star Struggle Alley on Netflix, and just a month later they will meet with the producer of the Yeşilçam era, Semih Ateş.
