Arabic adaptations of Turkish series

The number of adaptations of Turkish series on the MBC channel and the Shahid digital platform, part of the strongest media company in the Middle East, is constantly growing. According to journalist Sina Kologlu, the adaptation of the series “Evermore” became a turning point. The series was released in 2020 under the title “Bride from Beirut”. An Arabic adaptation of the series “Good Days Bad Days” was also made under the title “Eternal Story”.

Currently, several adaptations are being aired and filmed:

• O3 Yapım has made an Arabic adaptation of “One Thousand and One Nights” titled “Al Thaman”. It began airing in January.
• The series “Love for Rent” will be adapted for the Arabic audience of MBC from O3 Yapım under the title “Rented Love”.
• MedYapım has signed a contract with MBC in collaboration with Ay Yapım. As part of this agreement, an adaptation of the series “War of Roses” was made.
• The filming of the series “The Unfaithful” has recently been completed, and these series have not yet been aired.
• Ay Yapım has made an adaptation of the series “Small Crimes” titled “Stiletto”, which was a great success.
• Filming has now begun on an Arabic adaptation of the series “Insider”.
