The punishment imposed on the series “Cranberry Sherbet / Kızılcık Şerbeti” has heavily impacted both the broadcasting channel Show TV and the filming crew. The production company Gold Film decided to suspend the filming of the series, which was blocked by the Radio and Television Supreme Council (RTÜK) for five weeks. Another appeal was filed on Monday against the court’s decision. However, if the last appeal is also unsuccessful, the series will only be able to return to screens on May 19.

The series crew won’t get paid for a few weeks as a result of this situation. In addition, it is known that Show TV channel will suffer significant losses due to the inability to air the series, as advertising revenues were expected to increase just before the elections.
