The series “My Name is Farah” is returning to the air with a new plot and new characters who will play a significant role in the fate of Farah, her son Kerimsah, and Tahir.
Behnam Azadi (Feyyaz Duman)
Behnam Azadi, the father of Kerimsah, whom Farah met during her stay in Iran, is the heir of an influential family from Tabriz. Raised by his mother, Rahshan, he is a passionate and temperamental man in whom darkness outweighs light. Despite still being married in Iran, Farah holds a special place in his heart. His feelings for this woman border on madness, and he is willing to take the most decisive steps for her. Behnam thirsts for power and authority and eliminates competitors or obstacles when he sees them. After Ali Galip’s death, he took over a significant portion of his business and took on his challenging affairs.
Rahsan (Hatice Aslan)
Rahsan, Behnam’s mother, is a cruel and malicious woman. The only person who means anything to her in this life is her son, Behnam. She never even felt love for her husband but continued to live in this marriage, which did not bring her happiness, according to traditions and religious beliefs. One day, her heart was pierced by a strange and incomprehensible passion for someone she should never have loved – her husband’s own brother, Akbar. She could never confess her feelings to anyone. When Akbar left with his daughter, Rahsan’s heart became even more cruel and ruthless. She devoted herself to religion and became an advocate of conservative views.
Mercan (Sera Kutlubey)
Mercan, Behnam’s cousin and Akbar’s only daughter, could not adapt to the traditional way of life of the Azadi family. She became a modern woman who expressed her dissatisfaction with the religious and sociocultural norms set by Rahshan. Mercan believes that the man she loved was destroyed by Behnam, and she hates Rahsan and Behnam.
Akbar (Burak Tamdogan)
Akbar, Behnam’s uncle and a diplomat known for his negotiation and communication skills. He appears to be a wise man outwardly. After losing his wife Nahide, there were no other women in his life. He cares deeply for his daughter, Mercan, and is always there for her. He seeks to protect her from the influence of Behnam, Rahsan, and others.
