Fans of Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ and Serenay Sarıkaya will be disappointed. The show “Family / Aile,” which stars Turkish actors, has failed to keep viewers’ attention and may be cancelled prematurely.

Following the announcement that popular Turkish actors Kıvanç Tatlıtuğ and Serenay Sarıkaya will be collaborating on the series “Family,” fans of the stars eagerly anticipated the partnership. The series got off to a terrific start, with good ratings.

The series, scripted by Hakan Bonomo, received positive reviews from both critics and viewers. Renowned actors such as Nejat İşler, Nur Sürer, Canan Ergüder, and Musa Uzunlar also starred in it. In the new season, Selin Şekerci joined the cast as the daughter of İlyas, an enemy of the Soykan family named Serap.

However, following the initial increase, the ratings gradually fell, failing to satisfy audience expectations. The second season failed to reverse the downward trend, which was a major disappointment for both the series’ viewers and the stars involved. It appears that a segment of the audience favored more interesting TV shows.

It’s worth mentioning that the actors signed a contract for 30 episodes, so “Family” will be broadcast until the end of the year unless the ratings drop to the point where Show TV decides to cancel it early and compensate the stars.
