Halit Ergenç to Play the Father of a Legendary Footballer
Halit Ergenç has joined the cast of the film “Lefter,” produced by TaffPictures and ArkPictures. Filming of the movie, which tells the story of the legendary footballer Lefter Küçükandonyadis, will begin next week. Ergenç will portray the role of Lefter’s father, Hristofis Küçükandonyadis, while Lefter himself will be played by Erdem Kaynarca.
The film, directed by Can Ulkay and scripted by Ayşe İlker Turgut, is being made for Netflix. The cast also includes Aslıhan Malbora, Deniz Işın, Aslıhan Gürbüz, and Uğur Uzunel. Erdem Şanlı will play Dimitri, a friend of Lefter. Adil Ömer Çetindağ will portray Hagop, a fellow football team member of Lefter, Asir Gündoğdu will play Lefter’s rival Sanjar, and Ozan Kaya Oktu will appear as Turgay Şeren, known as the “Berlin Panther.”
