Hazal Kaya Defends Women in the Industry: “You Cannot Endure Such Attacks!”

Hazal Kaya published a post expressing her stance on the social media discussion surrounding the accusations against Serenay Sarıkaya and Ayşe Barım.

She stated:

“You cannot make such unfounded, baseless, groundless, and unsubstantiated accusations, saying things like, ‘We heard this, we always knew this.’

No one can endure such attacks, especially not a woman who draws her strength from her intellect, ideas, and most importantly, her vision. If this bothers you, you have no right to try and ‘stab her in the back.’ You cannot initiate a campaign of punishment just because someone is successful, beautiful, and lives the way they want. If it’s about success, measured in numbers, whether you like it or not, that’s your personal issue. But you cannot change the facts.

However, for some reason, your criticism, humiliation, and attempts to discredit are always directed at women. Male actors whom you consider less talented are excused with phrases like, ‘But he’s handsome.’ And abusers are defended with, ‘But he’s talented.’ Somehow, you always find a way to justify them. You need to understand that your attacks on women mean the following: ‘Whenever we want, we’ll stick a label on her forehead through rumors.’ No, dear ones, you cannot do that.

The tone of the very first piece of news that emerged disgusts me. It’s shameful. And what disappoints me the most is my female colleagues, who think this situation will never happen to them…”
