The film starring Aras Bulut İynemli continues to conquer foreign audiences. This time the Mexican viewers fell for the charm of his character. For Turkish cinema, this means a huge step forward!

The Turkish film Miracle in Cell No. 7 / 7. Koğuştaki Mucize, which entered the list of the 10 most popular films in Turkey of all time, continues to conquer foreign audiences. After the huge success on Netflix during the quarantine (the film topped the ratings of the streaming platform in many countries, in France it became the most viewed movie this spring), distributor Inter Medya began selling it around the world.

Not surprisingly, the film’s broadcasting on national television channels resulted in another victory for the creators. Mexican television channel Imagen TV has officially announced that the Turkish film Miracle in Cell No. 7 gained 3 million 100 thousand viewers and became the most popular program for the entire existence of the TV channel. For the first time, the channel topped the national prime-time broadcast, receiving a 19% share. In total, 5.45% of households in the country watched the movie.

We are proud to acquire for our audience the best on international television. The Miracle in Cell No. 7 was the most successful film on Imagen TV in its entire broadcast history, said General Manager for Content Eric Pulido.

In turn, representative of Inter Medya distributor Beatriz Sea Okan, admitted that they consider the film one of the most valuable acquisitions in the company’s catalog. The film continues to be sold with great success worldwide.

The Miracle in Cell No. 7 can safely be considered the breakthrough of Turkish cinema on the international scene. So far only Turkish TV shows have been popular abroad, but the film starring Aras Bulut İynemli has changed this. One can only hope that this is the beginning in a series of successful projects to be filmed by Turkish cinematographers.
