Did Hande Erçel turn down the series with Kerem Bürsin?
International digital platforms are not afraid to repeat successful serial duets. However, the expectations of the fans of Kerem Bürsin and Hande Erchel regarding the new collaboration of the favorite stars in the Disney Plus series were not met this time. Why?
The digital platform Disney Plus, which is preparing to enter the media market in Turkey after Netflix, is making very ambitious steps by attracting the leading stars of the Turkish screen to work. The platform makes orders for the production of TV shows to the leading production companies of the country. One such upcoming project is MF Yapım’s series “Dünya ile Benim Aramda / Between the World and Me” starring Demet Özdemir, Kerem Bürsin and Hafsanur Sancaktutan.
According to the well-known journalist Birsen Altuntas, Hande Erçel was first offered the role in the series. The main male role was to be taken by Bugra Gulsoy, with whom the actress had already worked in the TV series “Azize”. However, Hande, having read the script, saw a love scene in it, which she considered too daring. Screenwriter Pinar Bulut insisted that the scene remain in the show. As a result, it was decided to change the cast. The producers made an offer to Demet Ozdemir and Neslihan Atagül. After some thought, Demet gave her consent. As for the main character, Disney would like to have Kerem Bürsin. Filming for the series will begin in March. The search for the second main male character is underway.
However, we remind you that back in the fall, Mrs. Altuntas claimed that Kerem Bürsin would star in the MF Yapım project. Now she’s pretending it never happened. Moreover, she added the name of Neslihan Atagül to the news (we remind you that she often makes PR of the star). Many bloggers are already reproaching Birsen that she decided to promote herself on the famous pair of Hande Erçel-Kerem Bürsin, adding Demet Ozdemir and a daring scene to spice up the story. Recall that Disney Plus prefers not to show bold scenes in their series intended for family audiences, so in the end it is quite possible that there will be no such scenes in the project at all. However, in this case, the journalist will simply say that they were removed.
