Preparations for the filming of the series Akif, which tells about the life of the author of the Turkish national anthem Mehmet Akif Ersoy, continue. The series will be released on the TRT0 digital platform. Fikret Kuşkan will star in the TV show. The poet’s wife İsmet Ersoy will be played by Özge Borak. Ertan Saban is also in the cast of the project. Filming will start in September. Directed by Selahattin Sancaklı. The series is expected to have 13 episodes of 40 minutes each.
